Children’s respite

Respite that children can look forward to

Warm, active and carefully planned Saturday and school-holiday sessions where children with disabilities can feel safe, included and free to enjoy their time.

Our Sheffield setting

Our respite service operates from 76 Burngreave Road, Sheffield, S3 9DE. It is registered with Ofsted under URN 2859936 on the Compulsory and Voluntary Childcare Registers. Inclusive Community Care Ltd is the registered person under URN 2859935.

Who the service is for

Our short-break sessions are for children with disabilities. Before a child starts, we make sure we understand their communication, routines, interests, support needs and any agreed individual arrangements.

Sessions and activities

Our programme includes Saturday groups and school-holiday sessions. Activities are shaped around the children attending and can include creative, sensory, active and community-based experiences. The exact dates, hours and support arrangements are confirmed through the family and commissioning route.

What families can expect

  • A clear arrival, handover and authorised collection process.
  • Activities planned around each child's needs, communication and interests.
  • Safeguarding-led practice and a clear route for concerns or complaints.
  • Relevant updates shared with the people involved in the child's support.

Accessing commissioned SNIPs support

Eligibility, assessment and referral for commissioned SNIPs respite are managed by Sheffield City Council. Visit our SNIPs information page for the correct contact route. ICCare can explain the service and what families can expect, while the Council makes the eligibility decision.
